HODL Steem & Bitshares - We´ve Got An Awesome Year Ahead Of Us!

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

There´s an awesome year ahead of us, especially for steem and bitshares. Those two tokens bear huge potential and are still massively undervalued in my opinion. Honestly, everything below 10$ for steem and 1$ for Bitshares is simply a joke or an amazing deal, whatever way you want to see it 😉

I personally am hodling both of them and actually even add more and more every day to my portfolio as I think it´d be stupid not to do so. These two projects just got so much potential that´s just waiting to be unleashed in 2018.

Let´s take a look at Bitshares, there are millions getting invested to improve the interface of the DEX to make it easier to handle for its users. On top of that more and more exchanges start to build their services based onto the Bitshares Blockchain. If that doesn´t sound promising enough, wait for the amazing things happening on the steem blockchain 😉

More than 1.000 new users per day, almost instant fee-less transactions and an active Community of more than 50.000 people daily and that´s just to get started. Further there are projects like D.Tube, which might turn out as the Youtube killer or Utopian.io, which is revolutionizing the world of open source projects as contributors are suddenly able to get paid for their work.

So what do you think after those few facts?
Will You Hodl your Steem & Bitshares or even buy more?

HODLing Steem & BTS for almost a year now.

hodling everything

Same here, Don't sell the dip anyways ;)

Great idea.

really...............?? :)

Hi, recently joined and started following your posts - thanks for the great content. Not started posting my own, but that's just around the corner - just learning what's what at the moment.

I'm definitely investing in, and will then be holding STEEM. It's a platform with huge potential, and I agree, I can see DTube for example being a YouTube killer, or at least big rival in the next 24 to 48 months.

As [for example] YouTube treats its content creators, especially smaller ones increasingly badly, more will jump ship to DTube. When people become aware there's an option where they can stop being monetised, and start monetising themselves, it could catch on fast.

I, for example, am about to start producing content. Some of it will be video, and I never thought I'd say this, but I won't even be attempting to build a presence on YouTube, because it was already hard to break through, but their recent changes make it almost impossible. All my video efforts will be centered on DTube and Insta/Facebook.

As for STEEM, I can't see a scenario where it doesn't rise above $10, $20. The more users, the more demand, the higher its value. I'm just gutted that I wasn't here earlier, but I know I'm still an early adopter, so I'm excited for the future.

Thanks a lot for stoping by and leaving an awesome comment :) I agree with you that there aren't many scenarios in which steem doesn't succeed. Let's hope for the best to happen.

I wish you much success and especially fun creating your video content. Who knows maybe I'm texting the next Dtube star here ;)

I'm also excited for the steem future but I know that Steem is Better... dont worry bro

Yes, HODLing.

I am hodling and looking to add more.

I converted some of my LTC over to BTS this weekend....I have some money clearing in the next couple days and will most likely add another batch of BTS to it.

STEEM is also highly undervalued so I might have to add to it. As much as I love STEEM, I just cant help myself from adding BTS....

Like you said, I dont think you can lose with either one....I just get excited thinking about BTS at about $10.

I feel you. I see a bright future for BTS and at the current prices it's just ridiculously cheap :) Adding more as we speak :)

Interesting. I just left a comment about my concern that the amount in circulation so far exceeds the cap value; that I'm hesitant to buy more.

I get a great 'vibe' about BTS; but, the research has me a bit cautious. It's reconstitued from another crypto; and, seems to be slow in getting its 'footing'.

What I really like is that the primary developers are all a part of the STEEM blockchain. This is where my positive energy derives from. I, too am a proponent of the future of STEEM.

I'm glad to hear you consider BTS a great buy. I will continue to buy because I know the developers are really doing a lot of promotion/work to sell its no-brainer potential for growth.

The downside is I keep getting a "Gateway is down" on the Openledger.io platform. This really doesn't encourage me a lot.

I've been watching BTS for a few months; and, not surprisingly, it's definitely volatile.

Peace.

BTS got a lot of things they have to get straight first before mass adoption and they are actually investing quite a lot into the platform in regards to time and money.

I think they just have a hard time cause people don't see the advantage of a decentralized exchange yet...

the amount in circulation so far exceeds the cap value; that I'm hesitant to buy more.

Perhaps, you'll consider writing a post on how this can be a positive, long-term.

Thanks for chiming in.

Peace.

I'm kind of splitting it 50/50 ☺

You are disciplined....and a better man than I am....

I just cant keep from putting all my money in BTS. I dont know why either....maybe it is because I earn steem whereas BTS I have to buy...Or maybe it is because I keep seeing @stan talking about turning $1M into $1B and even I can figure out that is a 1000x increase....

If that happens to BTS from here....wowzer.

I somehow know exactly what you're talking about. I got some good feelings for BTS as well :)

Actually the steem rate is now strange to me. I do not understand anything that will happen in the future.

dont worry bro.... be happy
1024px-Safeplacelogo.svg.png

This is one of the funniest comments I've ever seen haha...

ha ha ha... really so funny sir..

NDaOTED.jpg

Yup it's strange.... SBD should've stayed at $1... Now it as unpredictable as Bitcoin.

Well then just enjoy the surprise party ;)

Well, I try to HODL mine too... Only getting them out when I need fast money recently.

But since I finally got a Debit Card I can use STEEM on (long story) this might happen more frequently than before.

Oh, very good, I will try as you do if I have any problem in the future..., thankss sir

Thanks this was a good read. I didn't know about bitshares, till reading this article. I guess I have some reading to do now. The little bit I've read about the project on wikipedia seems interesting.
"If that doesn´t sound promising enough, wait for the amazing things happening on the steem blockchain 😉"
Would be keen to find out more about this. Could you provide a link about this?
What do you think of ethereum and smart contracts, do you see anyone in the future doing anything really cool and big with this?

regarding steem you can find a lot in the hot & trending posts ;) Regarding the blockchain in general I'm convinced that people will do cool stiff with it soon ;)

Before this post I had never looked into Bitshares. I'm definitely hodling STEEM, and now will have to check out Bitshares. Thanks!

You better be fast in case you figure out that you want to buy some, they are cheap right now ;)

Yeah they are. I'm liking what I see. Just got my wallet and a few from blocktrades, but I think I'll be getting some more.

I'm committed to the HODL and Powering up life on Steem. The potential rewards are too great, and my investment is my time and my writing. I'm building my stake in something I hope will be amazing. To me, that's worth the investment I'm making.

Your investment might just turn out as the best you'e ever did ;)

I'm hodling Steem and have active projects to generate more for myself and others. Steem is way undervalued in my opinion.

I also plan on expanding my bitshares holdings as well as other graphene based systems.

I plan on buying more eos soon too.

I'm all in on @dan. lol

Thanks for the post.

Keep Steeming!

I'm all in on @dan. lol

His success record has a lot of people with this vibe. That's really the 'sell' for BTS. I'm just not 100% on it; but, that's because I need a few more "case studies" to see how it will function in real time.

Steem On!

Peace.

Good point. Trouble is Steem is not listed on Binance, it is hard to get something mainstream in terms of buying pressure if it is not listed on Binance. Any comments?

im not buying more but hodl steem

"Even if you believe that cryptocurrency is going to work, how do you know that 10 years from now bitcoin is going to be the one? If digital currencies can work, someone can come up with another one. And another one. And another. And another. There's nothing special about bitcoin that another cryptocurrency can't replicate and improve on. Right now, bitcoin is just the most popular because it was first," he said.

interesting posts and information ...
I am very happy to follow all your posts ...

So promising cryptos
Seems I am missing out on bitshares

Hopefully steem go to the moon.

which was very important for me to know. i hope that you too will be with us through many informative and such good post

I just wonder if as Steem grows, greed will grow also...
If Steem dramatically rose, there would be a ton of millionaires here on the platform that would likely cash out completelet and retire. Maybe there will always be investors and what not but Steem is special in the way that it’s economy is also fueled but the social media platform. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Either way- hodling certainly won’t hurt.

steem will always fluctuate, it doesn't have a total max supply...it is open just like fiat

Right...so it’s pretty unpredictable. It will certainly be interesting to see what 5 years brings. I could see it really getting huge.

If the rollout of HF20 and SMT’s goes well, the Steem blockchain could see explosive growth.

I don’t know as much about BitShares, but started acquiring some at $0.17 as a speculation.

If we look at this in the long perspective i think that you are right, steemit will continue growing so it's a good idea to hold Steem and Bitshares, however recently market is crazy, it's complete chaos and it's really hard to predict what's going to happen.

Yes I will hold my Steem.

really nice article full of information, this post and blog is class room for new comer like,, thanks alot of good information

I can see Steem at $300 in 5 years. Let's see if this prediction comes true.
I would HODL and buy more and more.

I'm holding and adding more, since I believe in the Steem project and think that will be a Facebook 2.0

I love that Steem already has a working product! AND new products being built on top of it! As an artist (singer/songwriter), this platform is unimaginably amazing for me since I got virtually nothing out of Facebook or Youtube - other than exposure. But at one point you get sick of hearing that it's good for your exposure cause my landlord doesn't accept exposure as a payment.

I don't know anything about BitShares or DEX yet so if you can enlighten me, I'd be very grateful :)

And also, do you know any reason why Steem isn't listed on Binance or other major exchanges? With 500k users of Steemit, I don't understand why Binance etc. wouldn't be interested in trading the token...

You can buy steem on the bitshares exchange :D

Thanks for the tip!

Is this the link? - https://bitshares.org/

steem rate will go up, in future up and up,, great hope

Thanks for the post! I think both cryptocurrencies have an excellent 2018 in store. I'm hodling all of my STEEM and buying in to other high potential cryptos, so that my portfolio is quite diverse!

the objective is always to buy more and hold it for life...there is nothing like steem in the blockchain space...an absolute weapon of independence...my plan is to invest in it as much as I can in Q2 hopefully some money coming my way...finger crossed!! also I am looking for a dip ;P

great motive keep up

@steembusiness always glad to see an article that's bullish on what I've been holding for a while... I'm buying more of both. Today in fact!

Do you know what's going on with ariseBank (since it's somewhat related to bitshares)? I've heard mostly bad, but some good, and seems some of the most entrenched bitshares guys are still positive it's going to shame all the naysayers. I'm really confused on arise though.

Thanks!

From what I can gather, a lot of false propaganda spread on both sides. I think it is solid but not necessarily snow white.

But then I might be mistaken.

BTS looks like a better deal then Steem now to me. But of course you cant go wrong with either.

If I had money I'd be buying like a maniac. As-is, I'm HODLing the coin I got and praying for a break in the storm. Best of luck with your trading!

Shouldn’t we hodl sbd instead of steem ? sbd is doing well as of steem.

Im brand new herw but am enjoying the commumity here very much. Im excited to learn more about STEEM and bitshares. All I knew prior, was you could somehow play natural selection from steem. Lol how times have changed! Now to get crackin' yall like airdrops?

I am total believer in Steem. I still do can not get a account on DEX to trade Bitshare but want to start soon too. I just do not understand fully the benefits of owning Bitshare. To own Steem is to have a bigger voice on steemit and make a bigger impact on the platform. When millions communicate daily on steemit there is no way steem will not moon. Thanks.

How do you feel EOS will impact BTS?

eos = Business
bts = DEX

Well, rumor is Dan is building a DEX on EOS.

I am HODL as well and hope you are right my gut feeling is you are

No doubt, can't believe how cheap BTS is right now, it was trading at $.88 like three weeks ago, alas I've already invested as much as I want to in it. Love these two and EOS (which is going up while everything else goes or stays down..)

Will You Hodl your Steem & Bitshares or even buy more?

Yes to Steem; but, I'm still trying to get my mind around how BTS will change the ecosystem long-term.

I can visibly see how the various STEEM platforms can generate interest and revenue.

In spite of all the videos regarding BTS that I've watched, I've yet to hear a tangible scenario that sticks.

That said, I've only bought a few shares, even though I want to invest more. Unfortunately, I'm a bit cautious as I know it's a transfer from a previous currency.

But, that's not the primary concern I have. It seems that the circulating supply far exceeds the market cap, which will keep the value down.

Btw, I'm new at trading, so any tips you can offer will be appreciated.

Many thanks!

Peace.

I appreciate your posts for getting me more into bts ..... I like bts, and I like steemit ... and bts and steem are two of the top three coins in terms of transaction volume (ethereum being the third, but priced waaaay higher in market cap already) .... but ... what I don't get is, how can steem the coin be a great investment long-term, given its high inflation rate?

I think especially bitshares is very cheap at the current price around 0.34 USD. Compared to other coins with no usage yet (like the ecr-20) steemit and bitshares are really in use and have an active community. And compared to ethereum with it's DApps like Cryptokitties it's fast and without any transactions costs. I think that's a huge point.

I am new to steemit, and steem for that matter. I actually am new to blockchain and crypto tech in general. I got my first crypto earning by joining musicoin.org as an artist, about a month ago, and I am stoked. From there, my enthusiasm snowballed and I started applying to other platforms like Voise and Aurovine, just to diversify my crypto intake. Now that I was approved by steem, I just can't wait to start piling those beautiful tokens up myself! I am also convinced those new cryptos (and the blockchain tech in general) are way undervalued and am convinced we are on the cusp of a societal revolution, where all content creators will finally claim back the power to manage their own output and get rewarded fairly. As more and more people get exposed to the advent of these new and exciting opportunities and flood sites like steemit and musicoin with registering requests, demand by content consumers will also directly grow. And as demand grows, value will rise exponentially. I think 2018 is the year of the blockchain. I will be hodling!
