RE: The Old Dog Reports: Bought me a Little Steem Today!

in #steem7 years ago

@kus-knee...old dog... I am so glad you were ABLE to buy!...

I decided, too that it was a good time to Power Up; and, unfortunately found myself in a 72-hour holding pattern since my funds are locked in the Savings account.

I guess the silver lining will be if the value continues on the downturn; but, I was really eager to buy some Steem.

I've submitted two posts about this; and, hope it will get some attention once the glitches are ironed out. While I'm buying pennies worth, there are some players out there wanting to buy thousands.

What if they have to wait 72 hours to get their money out of Savings? This could potentially be an expensive cost to the Steem share should the person decide to buy another crypto instead.

If there is a slow leak in the Steemit platform, lifting prayers that they will find it soon.

Btw, congrats on the buy!

Peace.

Some of the reasoning behind having the funds locked up is that it discourages dumping on a massive scale and it also keeps your funds safer. If you are hacked you have time to regain control of your account.

Thanks @kus-knee. I knew that it was to dissuade hackers; but, I learned something new re preventing massive withdrawals.

Do you think it would be difficult to add a POWER UP 'instant' buy for funds in Savings. The 72-hour wait to literally transfer SD to SP still seems like it needs a tweak.

Many thanks!

Peace.
