I do not think Steemit will get anything with Hotmail because there are a lot of people joining the Steemit every day and with some updates on Steam it will probably become a rival to Facebook.

Did you know Hotmail had acquired over 9 million accounts in just a year of its launch? And that was the era of dial-up internet with a very meagre penetration. By comparison, Steem has just reached a million accounts' count.
I don't see it as a rival to Facebook. However let's see how Steem will take over the market.
I see that Steemit should add some updates to it but I'm in a fresh way of steemit better than Facebook
