I would take the sausage and chop it up and after the mashed potatoes are done, I'd drop the cooked sausage in there and mix it all up. Potatoes runny from the milk almost like soup. Finished with a cracked pepper corn topping and butter...

I was stupid and bought steem instead of using the community and it's pending 3 more days, I hope I get a lower price, I since then did buy from the market place a little to test it out. Works :-)
