Yes Sir! From but a lowly little minnow swimming upstream, a big Thank You! It would sure warm my heart to see Steemit dominating YouTube, Facebook, and at least a few others in the coming years. I'm not a fan of censorship, and those guys insist on it. Also, the way I see it, ZuckerTurd's BILLIONS should have rightfully been spread, at least in some part (90% maybe?), among those that created the content that made the billions in the first place - THE USERS of THE PLATFORM!! Yeah, it was the man child's idea, right after he stole it, but he could have changed the world as well as still becoming a billionaire, but his greed doesn't allow him to be a true visionary.
I know Steemit is changing people's lives already, but the sky's the limit!
That's not what will happen, you know. What will actually happen in that when these "major creators" come here their content will dominate the site and users like you (because I no longer bother posting on here) will find it harder to have their content read. Popular or famous people's posts will gain the majority of the reward pool and their fans or followers will flood the site with rubbish. You don't actually need to actively censor people if you allow them to censor themselves.
In regard to what's posted on Facebook, even if the money was spread to it's actual creators most users wouldn't see any profit because the majority of what's posted on Facebook is other people's intellectual property. Zuckerberg (or whatever his name is) gets financial rewards and users get "likes" which gives them some sort of drug-like pleasure. There is very little originality on Facebook, it's mostly people sharing other people's work and then taking credit for it (which implies that they have a mental problem) and that's what will happen here once established creators with dedicated followers come. Resteeming will go out of control and bury original content or minor creators.
Actually, valuable content will always be just that, valuable. It doesn't matter if it's on Steemit, or another site. Steemit is growing, and in a big way. As the site grows, so will the value of the Steem token (almost certainly), and I suspect there will be a major increase of cash investments into the tokens as well. It would make sense that there will be more for all to share. That's the whole premise to Steemit, at least as I understand it.
Although pretty much anything is possible, what you describe would probably be more likely in a stagnant Steemit, with little to no growth, which would ultimately mean it's demise. If you decide to quite posting here, which is obviously your choice to do, you're guaranteed to never have Steemit work for you, and guaranteeing that you won't be successful...at least here.
I post very little, but I do try and find what I deem content worthy of an upvote, and I offer (hopefully) worthwhile comments, and I hope I'm helping that way.
Thanks for your opinion.
