Upcoming Milestones
- Once a stable version is established, I will then submit this plugin to the WordPress Repository.
- [ACHIEVED] Adapt new fiat currencies
WooCommerce Steem
Accept Steem payments directly to your WooCommerce shop!
Supported Steem Currencies
- Steem (STEEM)
- Steem Backed Dollars (SBD)
Limitation
- Currently works USD but will support with various fiat currencies in the next versions.
How does it confirm Steem Transfers?
It uses WordPress CRON every 5 minutes to call WooCommerce orders that uses payment method as Steem and calls an API via Steemful (Another application I'm building around WordPress ecosystem) powered by SteemSQL.
Note
You will NOT require any Steem keys for this plugin to work. You just have to provide your Steem username and you're good to go.

I've pushed new updates that contains adjustments to the plugin via GitHub. 3 days from now, I will finalize the plugin and submit it to WordPress Plugin Repository.
As of now, I'm still doing more tests on the plugin until such time that there would be a stable version of it.
@roelandp Hi. :) You may wonder what was the transfer I made to you the last few minutes. I decided to test the plugin out and randomly used your username as Payee. It turns out that the mechanism for checking Steem transfers for the plugin worked great. Thanks! :D
Making steem more easy to accept is a big step in the right direction! Steem on, supported by resteem, upvote and Follow.
Thanks. Greatly appreciate it. :)
great work
i have to test this
Thanks, please let me know your feedback if you are done testing. :)
Upvoted, Followed and ReSteemed - great work :)
Thanks. Greatly appreciate it. :)
steem is going places and the cryptoworld is taking over
Yes, it definitely is. :D
im awaiting some coders to check this out but thats what we needed!
Yes, I'm also waiting for feedback from fellow developers to do testing or code review. :D
This new is good for all the ecosystem.
Thanks for the work.
Cheers
Yes, indeed. You're welcome. :)
upvoted, followed -- lllove it! Keep up the good work, guys.
Thanks! Greatly appreciate it. :)
Upvoted and followed. Love it, going to use it in production anyways. :) (Not that it matters, I run a tiny publishing company.)
Thanks, I greatly appreciate it. :)
If you want to see it in production. I don't mind beta testing. You can buy my book at https://greyfey.com with steem or SBD. Stupid thing wants shipping details but you can just put in garbage, it's a pdf.
Hi again. I've pushed new updates to the plugin. You might want to update your copy. No worries, I've made some adjustments to it and made it more efficient. :)
Please let me know if you find any issues . Thanks. :)
Absolutely, nothing wrong with it yet. Good job man.
Thanks for helping test the plugin.
Here's a screenshot for how the Steem transaction details are laid out. :)
Look me up when you have other things to beta test. I love doing stuff like that, and yeah I am a hobbyist programmer at best, but I do know enough.
Cool. Thanks so much for helping out! Greatly appreciate it. Yes, I'll let you know. :)
Cool. thanks. :)
I don't have any liquid steem on me right now, could you test mine that is in production, just updated it. The book is 2.50 but I can send it back to you if you wish.
Cool, no problem about that. I'll make a test now. :)
Also, billing address GONE. I guess I could have googled that myself.
Have you updated the plugin on your WooCommerce shop with the new one?
yeah, just a few minutes ago.
Cool, I've made a purchased. Please wait around 5 minutes for the WooCommerce order to reflect as paid. I'll post screenshot for my official receipt in a while. :)
Awesome! Love it when shit just falls together real nice like.
Upvoted, Followed and ReSteemed

I'm happy I was able to test it for you. I haven't found a single problem. I'm sure the update fixed some things, but nothing that was stopping it from working.
P.S. Do you know how to get rid of the damn billing address issue?
Cool, I'm happy to hear that.
As for your question, if you a bit of programming, you can refer this tutorial: https://www.wpmayor.com/how-to-remove-the-billing-details-from-woocommerce-checkout/
I don't use Woo Commerce, but I'm always glad to see more development on Steem. The more diversity the better!
Yeah, indeed. :D
A stable version and updated the newly implemented features, please check it out at: https://steemit.com/steem/@recrypto/woocommerce-steem-1-0-1-beta

Very good news!
This is great to hear and see! Will look forward to more about this.
Great to see your development is going forward. I like to offer my German books by using steem and will follow you project.
Thanks! That will be cool. Please keep in touch as I'm already on the verge of completing all the requirements and the files needed to get this hosted over WordPress Plugin Repository. I'll be posting the official link by today or tomorrow. :D

Any issues with the plugin to date? Going to launch a new woocommerce project using just steem as the accepted payment. Very interesting and got me curious to try a crypto based project.
The plugin should be stable.
Only issue I have found playing around is if you have a sales price for an item. The plugin duplicates the conversion twice for the regular price and sales price, and determines the converted price for the product based off the regular price V.S. the sales price.
Example: $94.99 $25.49
56.108 STEEM 56.108 STEEM 90.473 SBD 90.473 SBD
I see. I'll check this out. I'll keep you posted. No worries, the frontend and the backend logic for processing the WooCommerce orders. So this issue is isolated on the frontend only.
Thanks for reporting this issue. It will greatly help improve and fix potential issues.
The above screenshot is for a single product as "default" product type.
The above screenshot is for a variable product as "variable" product type.
Can you please let me know your current WooCommerce setup and where are you seeing this calculations with mistakes? Also, what's your WooCommerce and WordPress versions?
So far I cannot replicate on the issue you are experiencing.
Thanks again.
Looking at your first example. The product is $5.00 on sale for $3.50. Below that, the plugin outputs the conversion for both the Regular price and the Sales Price in Steem and SBD. The customer is only going to be charged the final sales price, and not the regular price. Outputting the conversion for the regular price is extra data that does not do anything for the customer. If the numbers above that has the line drawn through them were simply not posted, it would clean up the display. hope this made sense?
Hello, thanks so much for getting back with this issue. I'd take consideration your points with the UI/UX for the price conversions on single product page in WooCommerce. You have a point there.
Initially, I just thought I'd follow the format of WooCommerce on how they handled "Regular Price then Sale Price" where "Regular Price" was slashed. I just realized that it is confusing for users specially with the different conversions with SBD and STEEM currencies.
I'll keep you posted with what I come up with. There would be an upcoming update if I'll be able to include this with the next update. (So far the current version of the plugin is STABLE)
Thanks again for your feedback! I really appreciate it. :)
Always nice to have additional payment methods for my shop :).
Yep, it always do! :)
GOOD JOB!
I'm a long time Woocommerce user and this plugin is a step in the right direction.
Just waiting for my next Ecommerce to build and I'll definitely be testing this out! :)
Best of luck
Great, thanks! Hopefully this will help you boost sales in your shop! :)
You are so great, I admire you, I will follow you, and also want to be like you, help me so that I can be like you :-)
What is the working status of this now? I have not heard much about being able to use steem for ecommerce.
