I don't think people realize how bad things can get because they've been good for so long. This is going to be much worse than a recession, unless we start a new war we're going to have a depression. If you can buy gold that may help, silver may be even better. Having some skills to barter with will certainly be of value. I don't see any hiding from this though unless you live in a forest.
