What do you think is gunna happen with proof of brain and the SMT's? I know they are trying to do some stuff like better curator rewards for manually voting yourself. But yeah everyone now days is selling their votes, yes even me I'm guilty but when I'm sleeping I lilt to still use my votes right? Anyways... Even the people with 25 rep are selling their votes with 15steem power and not voting on other 25 rep posts. Steem is such a fantastic social media place but it is getting abit worse with all of the vote selling stuff. Good way to make money if you already have a lot of money yeah. Let's home the smart media tokens will fix some of that.... Let's pray!

Cuz it's almost impossible to get a whales vote without paying for it now days. Which is unfair, not rewarding those people with seriously quality content. Eh I'm sure something will be done if it gets to bad.

to me the concept of proof of brain is too vague for a good chunk of people to agree. However, my current position on the subject is as follows.
Proof of Brain = Ability to create Social Networks of great impact.
There are some accounts that do fine without buying votes, but they have managed to do just that. Thru a project post of the time, but the little idea applies.
Now, is this ready for mainstream as is? probably not, but then again we don't really have a good gauge on the price of content.
Someone said, and I have to agree. We might be overpaying for everything. Why would someone's post be worth X amount, when there is not price discovery for said niche.
SMTs would break down into niches, therefore the free market would discover its price and hopefully with a good distribution system take care of the best content creators. At this point, these are ideas, but they make sense.
And I thought I understood the SMT, and you're over here putting me to shame. Hahaha now I guess I have to follow you forever cuz always smarter then me. Back to the books 😂

That makes sense what you're saying. Yeah it's a little bit crooked right now and it's difficult seeing people that have been active on here for months still only getting about 3 up votes on a good well thought out posts. Either way I think steem will be there in the long run, and every coin has its problems, and I belive in the devs to do the right thing to sort it out!
