Looks like Steem is expensive on the internal market. On Coinmarketcap Steem is 1.61 USD and Steem dollars are 2.40 USD. So for a Steem dollar you will get 1,49 Steem per Steem dollar
That's right, although Poloniex has disabled deposits so you can't sell your SBD for $2.40. On Bittrex the SBD price is currently $1.72.
The issues of SBD/steem on poloniex are mysterious. The spreads between the various exchanges normally wouldn't exist if arbitrage was possible.
Absolutely agree. SBD's value is crazy right now. I made the mistake of converting mine to STEEM at the $1 rate without realizing first that this is how the system works. Lesson learned.

gotta love steems internal market and concept of price arbitrage! You could just hangout on the internal SBD/Steem market and make mony here all day! Haveing just two coins too trade and no btc makes it very simple and this can teach peoople on steemit how to trade! They can then move on and trade on poloniex with alot more coins! but i can see steemit internal market expanding to have more cooins! like btc! ad ethereum! soon we wont need poloniex!!!!

Traded all of my SBD to STEEM (a measly 10 SBD). This is only worth while if you believe SBD is currently overvalued and STEEM is undervalued - which I do.

The price in Steem's internal market is lower, because you pay for it with SBD (Steem Backed Dollars) instead of Bitcoin or USD directly. The price of the SBD is currently very high.

on bittrex sbd is $2.25 and steem $1.6
According to Coinmarketcap.com the SBD on Bittrex is currently $1.72. On Poloniex the price is $2.49, but you can't deposit SBD right now.

When you see this page and then proceed to hit the "Seen" button it disappears like this
and love that but when ever I try to hit the "seen" button again it doesnt appear to bring back the information I hide earlier. you can easily just refresh the page but can you make it so we can just hit the button and have the info pop back in?

SBD is being considered a safe haven by many during this crash. Seems why since it shouldn't go below the $1 threshold by it's very nature.

Hi @penguinpablo, I just converted my SBD to steem power :)
Right after I listed my order, Steem price fell through the floor for a few seconds, but by the time I clicked the link to cancel my listing the sale been done.
Can't complain though, I still got a great price!
Steem Dollar price went crazy last night. It nearly crossed $2.13 on bittrex. It's very high if you compare it with last 2 weeks prices. So I would say for sometime in near future Steem Dollar would worth more than Steem.
It's better to invest in SBD than steem for at least a month.
Just converted a lot a few days ago :( But converted my 0.2 steem dollars to steem today and powered up.
