I think the jury is still out on this. I don't see the value unless one day this platform gains advertising. Probably the price reflects that future expectation.

But one thing that must go is the bias towards whales. On Reddit you can be a newbie and still have and gain influence.

Whereas on Steem you must please the early adopters or join them by buying SP. I hope future changes will make it more democratic.
