I'll admit that I'm not sure if I want mainstream media to start writing about Steem. They always manage to overhype things (although, that's quite hard with Steem) and attract people who are only in for a quick buck and not for the long run. I'd much rather prefer a natural (is that even a thing?) growth where users tell their friends and give them time to go through the process of going from ignorant to sceptic to approving. Then these new users will tell their friends. In this scenario, Steem will evolve through people who know each other in real life and thus become more of a "social" media.
