I can definitely imagine that there could be a universal basic income set up to reward people for their contributions, and I am already aware of the reward system for watching advertisements. Right now, I think there's still a long way to go before this activity becomes mainstream as I've noticed not many people are familiar with the concept of cryptocurrencies in my local community.
I am doing what I can to change that by promoting sites such as Steemit and introducing others to the platform. It takes a lot of time and effort, yet I think with patience and persistence the effort will eventually pay off.
I agree with you that we are not at the time where most are familiar with cryptocurrencies. However, with sites like Steemit where people earn crypto for doing what they do on Reddit, it is a step in the right direction.
It is also why I am so high on Manna and committed to promoting the hell out of that in 2018. This gives people the token simply for being alive which means they will start to embrace it since it is freely given to them. Over time, the more who get wallets, the more people who are at least familiar with the technology.
There is still a major time lag between now and what I wrote coming to fruition...but the seeds are being sown as we speak.
I think promoting the site is what will help it to grow exceptionally and I am all for doing my part in trying to bring people to the platform who will add value. I think that you have the right idea and attitude about promoting "the hell" out of Steemit in 2018. I'll be doing the same from where I am.
