I am actually doing really well on YT,, earnings wise,,, I posted this on patreon not long ago my cpm has gone from $1.8 to $3.62,,, so whatever they are doing,, might be drive up the prices of advertising.
Be careful not to jump ship,, this might be too good to be trough,, and some one is in control of Steemit,, and hosting servers and deciding on changes to be made...
