We've been in this bear market for so long that it feels like an eternity...
Ever since I became a member of the Steem network, aka 25 months ago, I remember nothing but an endless downtrend.
Back in the day STEEM was sitting at 4.5$ per coin. Can you even imagine? 4.5$ PER COIN.
Those who have been here from the very early days...have witnessed STEEM sitting there...twice.
All one has to do is to check their account's value....Sad isn't it?
Just to give you an idea of how far down we really are...Back in the day, a 50K Steem Power holder's account value was something between $200.000 - $400.000.
2 years later and that very same account's value is ~ $8.000
But at the same time, that was the perfect chance for accumulation...
Those who have faith in STEEM kept building their accounts...including myself.
So, 2 years after that glorious bull-run...small signs of price appreciation are back on the menu...
That's why I am gonna leave this here in the hope that a new "upper floor" will be formed as the days are passing by...

It’s been a wild ride down from those ATH. I got here a few months before that all went down, so it’s been a crazy thing to witness the insane hype of the ATH coming about followed by the despair of a long downtrend.
I hope things turn around this year. My account value back at the last ATH was about the same (in terms of $) that it is now... what’s funny is that I have 20x+ more Steem 🤟🏽

Yeah it's insane...but tbh if it wasn't this bear market we would be holding 20x less...not just you pretty much everyone...
When prices start going up using an elevator you/we'll be thankful for sticking around those past 2 years.

Yeah around then, steemit still fucks up the quality of images somehow even though they are stored properly. Which is really weird cause if you go to https://steempeak.com/steem/@mindtrap/2-years-after-that-glorious-bull-run-small-signs-of-price-appreciation-are-back-on-the-menu#@mindtrap/q51gci and open the image in full screen from there, even though it's still stored on steemitimages it'll open it in proper res...
(have mentioned this bug a few times but not much has been done about it yet, will have to try again)
I feel very hopeful that "patience will be rewarded" and those of us — large and small — who have stuck with it through the long downward slide will be rewarded for our persistence.
Even if not, it has still been a pretty cool community to be a part of!

Bear markets give true investors a chance to buy at lower rates before that buying brings attention to the bears and the next wave begins of fanatic buying.. If you play your market right and buy off brains over impulse and learn to sell near the peaks you will be able to amass a considerable amount of wealth here.
