RE: STEEM Thoughts: The Power of a Vote!

in #steem7 years ago

This made me think Max how important each vote is no matter how small and Eric (anomadsoul) voiced this sentiment as well at one point that votes no matter big or small is important.

Now you also talk about it and I agree that from redfish to whale upvotes and comments are important because without it, it would seem that you are just telling your story to the wilderness.

A lot of people think that those earning big organically or otherwise don't need their votes anymore and is looking at the next low pay out but of exceptional quality as it has a good chance for a major vote from one of the curation guilds.
It puts into perspective the importance of upvoting the right kind of content that you want to flourish in the platform. Due to the low value of steem and SBD I haven't seen a lot of color challenges lately hahaha not of the crappy bread box variety anyway.

I have a mixture of autovotes and manual curation that i do and I make sure that my 11 votes counts well technically it is more than that since I change my percentage but keeping it above 75% is very important to me.

Indeed, you give the community more if you always keep your VP high. Not only do you give the community more, you get more in curation rewards as well.

So I should have added don't let your VP decline heavilly either... that's a mistake most of us active folks did many times.

Cheers Mav!
