This is revolutionary! And yet very needed. It helps privacy and freedom of owning contents we generate 👍 great job Mahdi 👏👏👏

Great! nevertheless... I'm not sure to fully understand what's the aim of this improvement for... :-(
I guess it should be related with the awaited HF20 but, still don't understand why editing older post than 7 days is so important...
Steem on mate!

That is important! for updating outdated data on the blockchain or replacing broken links or etc
for example, we have many instructions for running a steem node, but most of them are useless because of blockchain updates!
We should search for months to find a working guide! this improvement can help many projects.

That's correct... this is probably the most important use of this change... it will certainly help...
thanks

Interesting that we can now edit steemit posts older than 7 days, but I think since this is a blockchain there should still be limit to the number days old post can be edited. Maybe 6 months and above can't be edited. Something like that.

What do you think bro?

It is still a blockchain! you can't remove any data from it!
You can edit posts, but you can't remove history of that post. Anyone can find the old version of that post.

Okay, that clarify it. Thanks

sweet, I got tons of posts that need some kind of update

This is some next level stuff right here. Could be quite useful cuz a lot of my expired posts still need editing.

That's the best news of the day I've got and Thanks Mahdi for sharing it. let's wait for Steem 19.10 to be officially released so that we can use that feature.

when will 19.10 be function-able? When can I edit old posts?
