Excellent analysis of both steem and sbd and steem is looking so good after that weiss rating report and i hope we see more gains in steem price soon.

Hi mahdiyari, I am relatively new to Steemit and as you have kindly posted the update above I am hoping that you can explain its implications a bit....not only for myself but also for many other who are increasingly having the pleasure of finding Steemit. I have very much enjoyed looking around the platform and finding interesting people with interesting viewpoints (not just those whose viewpoints align with mine) and have enjoyed making comments to peoples posts if I feel that I have something that I can contribute to the conversation. I have not as of yet really started any topic (I still feel like the new guy standing in the corner), but I know that it is only a matter of time till I find my own voice. However, despite all the enjoyment of the interactions and the connections that I am slowly making I do not really understand the mechanics of the platform i.e. Steem, Steempower etc, and am hoping that you could explain this or point me towards answers, also what is a Witness, what are their responsibilities and what reasons would I have to vote for a particular person. Sorry if this is asking too much of your time. Cheers J
