RE: Just A Pretty Face? | Are We Missing Important Things By Taking Everything At Face Value On Steem?

in #steem6 years ago

Totally agree with this, and I think we are visual beings.. and while I don’t think that’s a bad thing.. sometimes that leads us astray perhaps.

We do have quite the crowd mentality and follow anything seen as popular by the masses.. I think that’s why I find myself so drawn to those original thinkers who aren’t afraid to be different. They are the special ones 🙂

It’s so true!! People somehow need to find someone to blame, or an excuse to take away someone’s success. My only issue really is the fakeness.. if someone presents themself a certain way or does things that may be don’t go hand in hand with what I would do but are just like Hey, I am who I am ..and this is what I do. They immediately have my respect.

I’d prefer a real person who I don’t fully agree with over a fake one any day of the week. I don’t need everyone to agree with me.. I just don’t want to support someone who is pretending to be something they are not.

I guess I just wished that before we start cheerleading for someone or something we actually took a minute to look just a bit deeper.

Loved the realness of your comment and I’m a fan of your blog.. look forward to meeting you soon!! Thanks for the support 🍪❤️

Sadly, there are a lot of fake people around these days, you know? It's becoming ever easier to be fake and make up an alternate persona for yourself. We live in an age where people just make up other people who they want to be and pretend to be those instead. And then, after a while, they slip or they somehow let you know they're not who they're pretending to be.

Basically, fake people suck.

Aww you're too sweet! I can't wait to meet you too! <3
