Sure Steem has been in a bear trend for the last 10 months but so has all of Crypto! With all of the development going on here on the Steem blockchain I don't think that the down trend will last forever.

It is the fastest, one of the safest and more importantly with 0 transaction fees. If we want giants to enter the game (i.e Coca cola) you think they'll prefer BTC's chain with the high fees? And wait for their transaction to be confirmed in an hour, while they can transfer millions in seconds with no fees at all? Just saying...
And I know that we may have a long way to attract these giants...but dream big they say!
I see no reason why Steem won't climb to top 10 currencies soon enough.
That Netcoins contest might be nothing at all, just a contest "we" won, but it could well be a huge step towards steem's escalation! As you said time will tell for sure...

i am looking forward and i am pretty curious about the future! i expected the win in the netcoins competition since i was one of the first voters, so i could anticipate the outcome day by day. The sad part is that this contest also showed that there is less activity in terms of people that everyone expected.

And through Community Efforts and Community Strength we won the NETCOINS Voting Contest and we have to continue the same enthusiasm for future events.
