Steem is life on Binance
I just noticed that steem can be traded on Binance as of today. There is a BTC , BNB and ETH trading pair, which is fantastic since Binance is one of the big new exchanges.
Interestingly I cannot find any SBD pairs, I wonder if Binance simply wants to focus on steem or also avoid sbd for legal reason.

It's a very good news, but Chinese new year is coming, I think after the new year, in March, Steem will boom!
There isn't a big supply of SBD at all, so most exchanges will not trade it. The volume is also low compared to Steem or other crypto coins

Binance will help bring investors to STEEM and hopefully we will see improvements to the website. It is not very user friendly and it is difficult to search for content. The search bar is very confusing!

Noticed the abscense of SBD too. Meanwhile Steem is currently in green; $5.32

This is what worries me greatly at the moment. I hope they list sbd too. SBD and Steem on binnace will spell growth for this platform instead of steem alone.
However, adding steem alone for now is also a plus for steem.
Yep, this is great. Some weeks ago I had to convert steem to ether — ethereum was under maintenance on blocktrades, min amount was too high for changelly, bittrex required verification. So I could not do anything about it except waiting.

Thanks for this update @knircky! It's great to STEEM being listed on such a big exchange - Metcalfe's law alone should provide a large enough volume to positively change the price of STEEM, and the amount of new orders that should be placed will also help it.
I too noticed that SBD was not listed - I'm thinking that maybe they are looking to ease STEEM in and see how it performs, before they list SBD - or maybe they are doing it for legal reasons like you said.

Withdrawal fees also very low from the look of things (0.02 minimum withdrawal, 0.01 Steem in fees).
Also Steem / ETH pairing is big news. I think ETH will start to intrude on BTC as the main volume currency for pairings this year. Plus it gives a faster route between Steem and any ETH ICOs. And potentially vice versa once SMTs launch.
I think this is going to change the game up , soon we will see Steem being added to other lists . I can’t wait until the day it’s in the top 10

This is awesome news and probably the fact why STEEM is performing better that 99% of Cryptos today (even though I still think its way undervalued in the prices)
I also like that they didn't add SBD for now - So there is less room for price speculation on the SBD and it will go down where it should be (1$) faster. We don't need SBD to be a pump&dump coin!

This is really great news @knircky! I can see why everyone in the community is excited, rightfully so. When you get listed (finally!) on the #2 exchange, it is definitely something to celebrate about.
I would expect a short term gain/pump...but with Steem, it may keep going!
I would like to note that this is just a small step on the path to the growth we all want & expect to see. Steem is only listed on xxx of the top 15 exchanges now...Binace(2), UpBit(3), Bittrex(10), HitBTC(11), Poloniex(12), Korbit(24), OpenLedger(103) according to CoinMarketCap.

Das sind sehr gute News, denn mir gefällt persönlich Bitrex nicht und Poloniex ist derzeit bei SBD auf Pause gestellt. Zumindest habe ich meine SBD immer noch nicht bekommen, die ich dort transferiert habe.. Schön das Steem und an einer weiteren Plattform zu handeln ist. Danke für die info lieber @knircky
