Ahh yes, the classic "make money online"! I fell prey to a few of those myself. Playing in real life is so much fun, but I typically keep it at that - fun.

Funny, I also got into blogging several years ago and faced the same hardship as you - monetization is ridiculously hard for an independent blogger and I made a little money doing it, but not nearly enough to make it worth the time I was putting in. It did teach me a lot of other valuable skills like web design, UX feedback, etc. that proved really useful over the years.

That's great to hear that you have also taken lessons away from your experience! The progress on the sites may be lost, but the progress for own well-being is clear as day! Haha, I love it!
