People with SSNs often don't want to type it into a form online. And not everyone in the US has a SSN.

Isn't one of the big reasons people want to use cryptocurrency is so they don't have to identify themselves with their government assigned ID number?

Just random thoughts! I have been on that bitPay sign up page, but closed it when asked for my SSN. VIVA is supposed to be issuing Debit Cards for us Vivos, so I'll wait and see the terms of that arrangement. But thanks for this great information which will work perfectly I am sure, for many Steemian!
