Hi @charles1, many people have a fear of the unknown and being that we're paid in crypto, which unfortunately has its fair share of Ponzis and is foreign to most, heightens that fear... then you have those with their own agendas whereby the success of Steem and crypto will hurt their interests... while they may be privately stocking up on Bitcoin or even Steem themselves.
