if you need most security and dezentralized look also the bitshares platform where you can get also other Digital Assets, like Bitshares self, BTC and many other Assets or polo standard.
if you've got some btc it's really easy to buy steem and steem power within your wallet. click buy and a receiving address with pop up. added bonus you never need to sign up for an exchange or download any external programs (although bitshares is a great one to get download ;) @selfmadeboss) .
