At 22:55 on June 17, a 6.0-magnitude earthquake occurred in Changning County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province(28.34 degrees north latitude and 104.90 degrees East longitude), with a focal depth of 16 kilometers.
At about 5:40 on June 18, the rescue team rescued a 7-year-old boy in Grape Village, Shuanghe Town, Changning County, Yibin. However, after the scene medical staff confirmed that the boy was killed. Father waited for bad news and cried. The earthquake has killed 12 people and injured 125. The earthquake also caused damage to some houses, roads, electricity, communications and other facilities. At present, aftershocks still occur in the disaster area.
