another surprise i got after all what i did to power up to the next step!
It seems that even my SP is over 500, to be a minnow, the delegated power are not giving you any upgrade!
It make me really surprise, because as far i remember, there was some community named minnowhelpers which was delegating power to help people with SP near to 500 to get upgrade, but it seems is not more like this, am i wrong?
Please let me know if i am dreaming or it is true!

Steemit has become an increasingly hard place to earn crypto, with so many rules being changed all the time. But then again I guess the system itself has been open to being abused...
Hello ... and I still have not reached the 500 sp, and I hope I can achieve step by step increase the sp. XD
I think you are strong person if you passed the worse moment of Steemit last year when they introduced the limit of RC, so now it should be time to get the results, anyway for me too is still hard to improve my account as you can see....
The classification of Minnow and others are based on the SP you own and not delegated. Your SP owned is staked and can't easily be withdrawn withdrawn, that is why the use you own SP to evaluate your position.

Urg,. I am sorry to say that you need to hold 500 sp on your own (* non-delegated) to hit the minnow status. However with 500 SP can still start make some waves here in the community.

If you're not already, You should really look at joining the redfish powerup league they support all redfish wanting to become minnows and hand out weekly prizes like steem for the best performing redfish. Im sure youll be able to reach your goal in no time
How I can increase my steem power ? I tried everything but not working for me..
Or you invest your Steem powering up or you try to get SP by posting or commenting, it take obviusly more time, i am in Steemit since january 2018 and i invested more than what i have now, on that time Steem was over 4 usd!!
Yes, SP delegated to you doesn't count. You have to own 500SP on your own before you will be called a minnow.
Immediately you make it to 500SP, you will receive a notification comment from @steemitboard, presenting you a minnow badge as an award.
So, redfish, minnows, dolphins, orcas, whales are all classified based of their stake on the platform (SP *owned).

It seems so, now i am Plancton i and need 47 SP to become a minnow, even i can see with delegation my SP is over 500....:(((
It doesn't matter much to be a minnow or dolphin. This is totally about SP. Always use it to improve yourself with sp.
Someone told me when you become a minnow there is a huge step forward in order to get upvote value and so on, so i do not think it is just related proportional to SP, thats why i am upset....
I hope you will get to reach there and I think there are many communities which help people to become a minnow.
How if delegation doesn't work?
@intellihandling, To see change in Status as minnow we need our own 500 Steem Power and in my opinion you will going to reach there soon.
