Today I want to continue a discussion I began yesterday: I believe Steem is the most exciting blockchain platform in existence and I will share three reasons why in this video.
Steem is Best Today:
As I see it, Steem's advantage is multifaceted, but for brevity, today I will focus on just three characteristics Steem.
- Great dapps ready today.
- Delegated proof of stake = scalable.
- Steem is a small cap coin, therefore it has more upside potential, less downside risk.
The Competition:
EOS
These three components come uniquely together in Steem alone, leading me to set it above every other decentralized platform, including EOS! I would argue that EOS is scalable and has great dapps, but it is a larger cap, and so has less upside potential and greater downside risk. Again, I am a EOS believer and holder, but comparatively and objectively, you get a bigger bang for your investment dollar with Steem.
Ethereum
I would argue that ETH is not yet scalable, and though solutions are in the pipeline, I believe tomorrow is too late, the race has already begun and ETH is falling too far behind. Also their dapps are hindered by that scalability issue already discussed above.
Tron
Like EOS, TRX is already scalable, and so is better off than ETH, but TRX's main problem is really the dapp development. They have a load of gambling options but those are all clones, and lack the quality that would draw someone new to blockchain. Comparatively, Steem has blogging that pays, fitness tracking which pays, fun games like Steem Monsters, and yes, even gambling if you really want that (Magic-Dice).
Conclusion:
Steem is not the only platform I like, but it is the platform I like best. Steem is not the only decentralized platform token I think will succeed, but it is my front runner, and therefore is my main play in this space.
As I see it Steem is ready to go today, and the others are all just trying to play catch up.
So how come Steem gets no love from the major Youtubers? I don't know... but just wait till Steem is top 20, then everyone will come flocking over, fair weather fans of their new favorite platform, Steem.

Have an awesome day and God bless you.
I appreciate ur positive outlook. Steem definitely seems like one of the most functional blockchains, has working dapps and has survived (working!) for approx 3 years. It has free 3 second transactions and processes a staggering amount of daily transaction!
Steem is mined thro original content creation and curation via steemit or similar dapps and it’s truly mind boggling that it isntmore popular already imo...
No other coin or blockchain has this type of community behind it either. The diversity and don’t forget the largest % of crypto-babes In all of crypto 😁😎
I really think its a matter of the hype train just not being here yet. When you look at what EOS, TRX, and ETH offer, while considering the price of each, you cannot help but say, Steem does what they do, OR BETTER, in many respects, while being far lower in the coinmarketcap top 100.
Its not inconceivable that Steem could be top 20 within a few weeks of upward pressure, and then just watch how the coverage turns, and excitement builds.
Im not saying its gonna start today, the bull run is almost certainly months away... ugh. But I just do not see any compelling argument in favour of EOS, TRX or ETH, that sets it far beyond Steem. Steem is definitely in the mix, and yet gets no recognition.
I believe that Steem was in top 10 at 2 point in its young life ;)
And yep, what can u do on eos so far lol..i’m sure that running any dapp is sooo expensive right now...
I hold EOS, and I literrally cannot even send my coins from one wallet to another, at the moment. From what I understand, and I could be mistaken, the problem is that there is too great a demand for RAM, so those resources are rare.
How rare? I have about $30 in one wallet, that is about 12 EOS.
Sadly, that amount of EOS is NOT enough staked resources in order to have adequate RAM to even vote, stake or send my tokens.
This is so shocking I want to say it again:
EOS RAM is so hard to come by, you litterally CANNOT use your wallet, unless you have more than $30 USD in your wallet.
How insane is that? If I couldnt afford more EOS that value would literrally be trapped, forever?
Fortunately I can afford more EOS, and I have another wallet, so if I really want, I can send more EOS to that wallet and in that way receive more RAM, and thereby free up my value.
But my solution speaks to the complexity of EOS... Steem is not like that. Not that complicated, not that frustrating. That makes Steem better, at least in this one very significant way.
See how I have no available RAM?
Steem was in top 10 at one point ;)
And in 2017 when it was top 20, it was getting like a 100,000 new users per month. That will happen again, or at least that is my expectation.
Not sure if that was accounts or actual users, but yea totally... as soon as the hype hits ppl jump on the train. That’s why now is a great time to be on steem nc when that wave hits, you’ll be happy u stuck to ur Convictions!
Oh yeah, I assume the data was around accounts, and as you know a single user can have many accts.
But yes, if you think crypto is exciting now is the time to invest in it, with money but also your time. That is what modern day active steemians get.
The reward pool is split amongst those active, we being active are getting payouts that will one day be meaningful.

Lol, yes 1 day be meaningful 😂
