Now is this the dip before take off or is the"pump and dump" just starting?? I'd like to see what some of the bigger players are doing with there steem/sbd. I was only thinking to myself this morning is it time to get out of Dodge?
I guess I'm interested to know is it just 'market conditions', and investors and business as usual for a crypto currency. Or is it that some whale has bailed?
Since this is a social media based site, and some of the whales are 'sorta' fighting. Is the price getting affected UP and DOWN by whales either buying or selling?
Just want to say thanks to @goldkey for reporting this "bad news." I think the Steem community can get a bit cheerleader-ish. If we're going to grow, and understand how we're doing, we have to take the bad news with the good.
Thanks, it's just an observation to spark discussion and hopefully get an idea why the price is having such volatility. You are right that I am posting this to get an understanding of 'how we're doing'.
Good stats but what was it 30 days ago?
Volatility will always be there but I prefer to focus on the long term prospects.
It looks like a month ago STEEM was $1.67 . So, for today, we are 208% UP

For long term prospects, I think we have proven STEEM and SteemIT are viable as both crypto currency and social media. The value is there. We are on the ground floor. We are earning STEEM, which has value.
I am not focused on STEEM price for selling or buying.
I am not reporting the rise and drop as financial advice.
It is more to question, what caused such huge rise and what caused such a drop?

to me it seams it goes up and down, just like bicoin, so it is really unpredictable, but got a good feeling that it will go up more than it has been only in a mather of time
unpredictable. . . . I think somebody knows what's going on, what caused the recent fluctuations. but I'll go for the ride :)
