Considering that Vice mentions its ability to cut out the middleman, I suspect that they will implement a certain upvoting mechanism, complete with comments and all we are used to here on Steem(it).
Yet for a coin to get value, there will have to be more. Otherwise, you will just end up with streams/videos with thousands of upvotes but revenue below $1. How Vice plans to solve that issue will be one to watch.
