RE: Cold Calling the Steem Blockchain to YouTubers!

in #steem5 years ago

We are a tough crowd.
Why would we want those with enough talent to get a prima donna complex?
We have enough golden children, imo.
Plenty of folks willing to do a yeoman's job of this, for pennies.

What we really need is that which makes the math popular to the masses.
We had the makings of that, then stinc kneecapped us when that math got optimized by the community, and went on a 2 year walkabout.

Bring back the n2, keep the whale downvoting set at 500mv, don't support those that powerdown to sell, and the reward pool can attract more regular folks.

It's time to get over the old ways of doing things.Top down management is #oldsteem and #oldparadigm.

I don't agree with supporting those that power down and add no value either, I also wasn't advocating to invite all the pre-madonnas out there, although I bet if Kim Karashian or Trump started using Steem, people would notice. The idea more was virally market Steem in all these easy target points, like comments in Youtube channels that have many views, not as much with the view of enticing the channel owner, but their regular followers, if people keep seeing Steem being discussed everywhere, it adds to the touchpoints, there is some number like 8 to 16 touchpoints a customer needs before they start using a service. Currently Steem has no or very few external touch points, also I'm no SEO expert but I'm sure the backlink value of mentioning steemit.com in other places helps SEO overall.
