My goal is 30 comments a day - 5 times a week. I have a system, but it's tiring. I do not get a great percentage of upvoting on my comments, but I'm not doing it just for that reason.

And I upvote all good comments I get on my posts. At this point. I only upvote one comment per the whole chain usually. I've been doing this for a few months now and definitely notice people to return and say good comments.

The interaction is what was driving the charge in the alexa ranking. Up until about June we were getting good commenting. Then commenting died per @penguinpablo stats - and you see the flatline on the alexa rank since then.

I just hope the people who used to comment on steemit are not chatting with each other for free somewhere.
