I just wouldnt change anything and I do not think that getting a 1000 sp delegation (or not) should be a reason to

personally I find my behaviour on steemit ok and therefore would not alter my behaviour.

• Post regularly (with self upvote)
• comment on other peoples post (no self upvote)
• vote on articles I like (like here)

and keep my smartsteem account active that sells my surplus voting power to whitelisted users (users that provide non spam/plagiarized content)
