Well most users won't really be looking to convert to fiat anyway, but if you really want to do so you would do it the same way you redeem any cryptocurrency: you sell it for Bitcoin then sell Bitcoin for dollars and transfer to your bank account.

Ideally though there will be a direct use for Steem Dollars to buy and sell services and products, which will let users ignore fiat currencies completely.
