RE: 11 things no one will tell you about using the steemit platform !

I really agree with most of what you said, actually the point that people don't read posts is obvious, for example on some of my posts I have more upvotes than views. This means that some people just upvoted my posts for their own reasons, but since what I want more than upvotes and money is actually readers and comments that's not going to get me to reciprocate a like of their stuff. I came to Steemit because like you said I thought that the people on here were different, but I couldn't have been more wrong.

That said, I disagree with a couple of points you made. The first is in point 3 where you say that no one ever got rich from begging. Tell that to the begging gangs on the streets or people who pull scams begging for money from well meaning people. Actually begging is quite profitable.

I also disagree with the point that people should write a lot. If people aren't going to read your work what is the point of writing a lot? I've actually noticed that the fictional stories that seem to do best are again IMHO very simply written and cut into short posts of maybe not more than 500 words. I think that we need to take into account language differences that might make it harder for people to write long posts in foreign languages.

Other than these two things I completely agree with you and I'm sure that a lot of people do too. It's just a shame that people are too naive to admit it when even a casual, unbiased observation of this site proves what you said to be correct.

I also noticed it. This post contains a lot of errors, actually. And, well, a lot of stuff to think too.
