Following the recent discussions related to how rewards are calculated, and after updating my rewards calculation algorithm in steem.supply, I decided to push a change which was very often requested: toggle the USD / STU rewards display.
There is already a lot of confusion surrounding how the rewards are displayed, so I decided to make this feature available rather sooner than later, although it was initially scheduled to go live together with another set of additions.
So, what's happening now is that you have only 2 "lenses" through which you can look at your rewards: USD or STU. You can toggle them by using a button in top right corner of the table.
Now, when you see rewards in USD, rounding is done to 2 digits, when you see in STU, rounding is done to 3 digits. Also, when you have rewards displayed in STU, you see, underneath each day's total, a breakdown in SBD and Steem Power for that day. I also updated the algorithm calculation for comments, so everything should be working now.
Here's how the USD display looks like:
And here's how the STU display looks like:
I'm quite confident this release addresses many bugs both in UI and in the backed implementation, but if you see something off, please leave a comment.
As always, looking forward to your suggestions, criticism or feedback.

for me it didnt work, meaby i have to clear browercach?
Whenever I try to access the main page, it takes so much time that at the end it says, time out. So I thought to use the username in the link, but it says:
I thought maybe you guys are working on it, so did not bother about telling you, but now that you have fixed some issues, it is still showing that thing.
This new toggle feature on steem.supply is really cool ...
Good job! The tool I've wanted all along, accurate and easy to read.
Thanks for the speedy turnaround on implementing suggestions! :)
You're very welcome, thanks for all your input, very useful :)
I use steem.supply in a daily basic, and there have been a lot of problems recently to access the site, i know this is because you are working on the site so i don't expected to work just fine right away. The updates to the page are all Welcome and if i find some bug I will try to notify you if nobody else has. Thank you for your hard work.
Ah amazing, i misd it the last days. Glad to see it back up. Tnx for the site
love this page.. in my top 5 of websites last month ;-)
This awesome that we can do both now. I already loved the Steem Supply tool and this makes it even better to understand. Just gotta wait till everything on Steem is back to normal to try it! Can't get on Steemstats or Steemsupply atm.
steem.supply is currently over loaded with lots of people trying to access it.
Yes, I know that, steem nodes also overloaded.
I just noticed that.
what ARE STUs again?
I forgot.
(gotta love all them acronyms...)
Steem Token Units :))
I THINK (hope NOT) that there is still a bug of some sort.
check out my account with SteemSupply...the values are just STUPID high.
Just checked your account too and it checks, so to speak, so I don't see any implementation bugs.
I would softly eliminate the word STUPID from your last sentence, acknowledge it's true, and then grab a cup of coffee.
sorry...no offense meant.
perhaps unbelieveably fantastic, sooper dooper wonderful great....and stuff.
would more accurately describe what I saw...
yeah...coffee..that's what I need...
maybe spiked with whisky...
wow.
none taken, obviously :)
It was WAY more than I expected...
"just STuPID high"...
as the kids nowdays say.
Perhaps I shouldn't emulate what the kids say.
ah...thank you.
silly of me to forget.
wow thank you so much for this.. I tried it out but it seems loaded when I tried it it say this:
These great project for everyone if fully release. Thanks for the effort.
Great sir...I truly appreciate your work.
Keep it up
finally good to see site back up and running :D
I'm sorry but what is STU?
Steem Token Unit. Have a look at this post to understand why I had to come up with this name.
Can't believe I missed that post of yours from 2 days ago.
With SBD off the peg, it's a bit confusing for newer people to understand post payouts.
By the way, is that a screenshot of @raluca's steem.supply page?
yes :)
That's a really great update. I was thinking of suggesting it, but as always, you were already a few steps ahead! :)
BENDER !!!
Great work. Did you find the source of why the rewards payout was calculating too low?
wrong implementation of the algorithm, now it's fixed.
Ah roger that. Excited that it's back up an running -- was using it quite a bit previously. I'll check out the new updates shortly.
For someone that is interested in coding and developing things, where would you recommend as a good place to start with putting together a block-chain explorer application such as this? What was this written in? Python?
It's written in PHP and CodeIgniter. I released a small library on my Github and I integrated it in CodeIgniter MVC. The library is pure PHP, though, it's installable via Composer, so you can use it however you want.
You are doing great job on cryto & I'm learnig some more from your article....thank you for sharing your analysis for us @dragosroua
Nice info. It clears a lot of confusion. You are one of the bigger asset to the steemer world keep the good work on going.
Reapect
This looks easier to me. At first I was a little bit confused. I‘ll keep watching your project and hope that stability of the page will also improve with time. However thanks for your work.
I noted it in there. But did not know the meaning of it.And there was not anybody to ask it even.So now I know about it all thanks to you.Now things have become more easier I guess.Good work
-cheers-
thanks for this post sir..actually i was wondering about what this stu is..and what has happened to the dollar value..now only i understand it.thank you very much :)
GREAT work !!! I was hoping this feature would come out soon, Thanks a ton!! Just voted for you in witness. Keep up the good work !
That is going to be really useful for new people when they want to more easily visualize their earnings
nice post
Oh man! I love you! This is great!!! :)
Thanks for this update, now I'll have easier time calculating things (kinda). All the details are here. Not that I hate creating excel sheets and do it that way. :)
Excellent work!
Thanks for the update! Looking good on my end.
Could you take a look at the graph shown for Posts vs. the graph shown for Comments? It looks like the Posts isn't interactive while the Comments one is, it would be nice if the Posts one was too.

Edit: Looks like the algorithm doesn't quite match up - but it may just be a problem with beneficiaries. I see myself getting ~50% of rewards for some Utopian.io posts, which probably isn't right. Trying to figure it out right now.
Aw, the Twitter thing is unfortunate but understandable.
I'm referring to this guy.
steem.supply shows that I'm supposed to be getting 53 STU but the post garnered nearly 96 STU in upsteems. When it pays out in 2 days we'll see?
yes yes thats great! thanks you now we can see reword! you are creative mind ! thanks once again!
It's good to have the display reward feature back and better. Great work
Good news, thanks for all !!!
Thanks for the important info
Thanks for your work. I use SteemSupply every day and I'm glad it works again ;-)
Helpful post. Thanks a lot for sharing it
For me, this is the best of steemit tools! Thanks @dragosroua !
Frate, esti magie curata!
Binecuvantata sa iti fie tastatura pe care scrii cod :)
Love your tool. One thing that confuses me though is how it handles delegation wrt account value. If I delegate SP form my main account to my bot account, is the delegated value attributed to the main account, the bot account or neither. I got the impression that it might neither, but that wouldn't seem right.
