The recent days i was working on to setup http://steemwiki.com . I want to provide a place where we can collect all the knowledge and resources about steem.
Currently you need to register a username to be able to chance content and if you are interested to help out on the project please contact me via steem slack channel my name is Dragonho.
UPDATE: THERE IS NOW A STEEMWIKI CHANNEL AS WELL ON SLACK
- where we handle the project
For those who help out on curating the wiki i will make sure to reward them with steem.
Happy steeming
#steemwiki #steem #steemit
Great way to add to the community, thanks. Now we just need someone to start and curate a full on replacement for Wikipedia on top of Steemit. :)
I have a rising feeling Steemit will disrupt more things than many people can even imagine at this stage ;-)
If you've read @Dan's post about Steemit's Evil Plan for World Domination, you will see that the founders of Steemit envision many Internet powerhouses such as Reddit, Facebook, Ebay and Paypal being directly challenged by Steem powered businesses like Steemit.
When we are able to provide a similar service and the profits stay within the community instead of being distributed to a small group of shareholders, the potential is enormous. Wikipedia is already a nonprofit, so there's not much incentive to replace it.
But maybe Wikipedia can set up their own Steem-system. That way the funding of Wikipedia can change from donations to micropayments.
I completely agree with you. we are a step away from the future
I'm glad that I take part in this project.
Coin could all overtake easily, it is really a good thing to blokcheyne, all promise to do something about raising money and pulled, and everything is done and went public with the finished product, the main thing that no problems with hackers) Fly to coin odnaznachno up IMW .
This is about creating wiki for steem system.
So that people can understans steemit better.
Not to replace wikipedia.
Awesome, really helps explain everything. Exactly what we needed. I was just demanding we develop some sort of tutorial!
Yes, its a perfect place to collect all the infos. I have looked already through a lot of content which i will structure and get on the wiki asapst.
This is AMAZEBALLS!
thank you @cryptoctopus - working hard on it to get the message spreaded
It is completely insane for users to have to piece all this together themselves. It shows complete disregard for the users and community to not update the website, whitepaper, or even put out a simple changelist when the code is hacked and hardforked.
Get the developers involved.
Publicly ask them to write and sign the important wiki entries.
Have them explain how the features and calculations work, in detail.
This is standard practice EVERYWHERE else.
Unless it's officially released by the developers, how can anyone be sure of it is accurate and current?
Absolutely amazing. So many people contributing this this platform outside of making posts about make up. Great work @dragonho
Great job! Would love to see the Markdown Cheatsheet and the Whitepaper on there
@discombobulated feel free to add it as a resource yourself :)
Nice job! Here is my upvote, hope it helps.
thanks it is appreaciated
Steem is taking over the world!
we hope so :)
Awesome job , Everything that is reputable needs a wiki and it will be great to get all the info in one easy place we can recommend rather than 100 different threads.
that was the idea - i setup as well in slack a channel - so that we can collect our wisdom
add this https://steemit.com/steemhelp/@lehard/steemit-for-dummies-5-simple-steps-from-beginner-to-steemian-80-lvl-50-useful-links-2-edition
You creators are amazing..thank you very much!!!
I think you meant to say change content not chance content. Your efforts are appreciated.
You might want to add the following article to your wiki:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@candy49/explaining-the-tabs-on-the-top-right-hand-corner
great job
interesting concept- thankyou
Nice job! This is definitely needed :)
Thanks for the heads up, recruiting team as we speak
Excellent and very useful contribution!
hope we can get some contributors - information is heavily needed
It would actually be nice to include important steemit articles in your wiki... There are dozens of guides and how-to articles allready published on Steemit, and it would be a waste to rewrite all this. Simple copy pasting is exactly what Steemit is NOT made for, so I would link directly to the important articles if it was my call..
we are working on a plan
Sounds like a great idea. I'm still too new to help, but I will join you when I know enough!
looking forward to it
Very good!
people seem to be lost in steemit system and that definitely will help.
i hope so
Good initiative !
thanks keeping the word up
Will be happy to contribute in building this wiki for the community
This wiki will be of great use to us, newcomers and top earners alike. Thank you so much!
you are welcome
cheers
oh thanks for the heads up
seems pretty cool all news
rocket
Great work man, STEEM is getting WIKI ;)
Очень полезная вещь! Это правильно когда есть такие инициативные люди которые помогают освоиться другим! )
Good Idea. Please keep us updated.
we will
#SteemKnowledge
veni vidi... wiki!
Honestly, steemwiki is one of the "must-be" things. Currently everything is just as blockchain - decentralized. Some users have prepared comprehensive tutorials but you have to search them individually - it lacks place where links to fundamental information are collected (it would make it easier for newbies)
Nice one man! I've created an account and will start contributing there too.
How can I also join the slack channel?
Thanks. This is what I need now.
good news
Hello, if you want you can use my mining comparison page:

And if you need an italian translate, just ask :)
Unfortunately it seems that this project hasn't been very successful. But Steem still needs a wiki, so I just wrote about it to raise some discussion: https://steemit.com/steemit-ideas/@samupaha/steem-really-needs-a-wiki
thanks for the compliment
