Apart from being proud and bragging about how steemit is wonderful, how it is decentralized and better than Facebook etc, I can rightly and bodly tell anybody that steemit is an educational ground where you learn a lot and increase or improve your knowledge base.
They're so many posts, comments and topics to learn from daily. They're health posts, technology posts, government and politics, history, travels, arts, music sports, cryptocurrecncy, religioon, fashion, etc. There's massive information overload on steemit and nobody can dispute that fact.

I made my first withdrawal of just 5sbd 2 days ago which in Nigerian currency is about 11,000# and just after that my mother called to ask if I needed some money and I responded that's her shouldn't worry. I had found a way to deliver myself to an extent at least.

What I like about Steemit is the variety of content it entertains me with. I get daily doses of educational content, artistic content, news feeds, all of which come with comments that are encouraging and critical in a supportive way. Plus, there are no annoying adverts and you get to help content creators make a little money for their efforts. Steemit deserves to do well.

Wow thats three times higher than ETH, isn't that amazing? Yes I agree we definitely have the best cryptocurrency in the world. However, its a challenging process for a beginner like me to get a good result with steemit but this is an initial step we must go through when we start something new in our life, thus this painful process not just applied to steemit but other aspects of our life as well.

Thanks for your insights. My main challenge so far, is that I would like to find a way to put content in, that is more "long term" reference. The model seems to cater most to the "instant gratification" people. I like the Trip Advisor forums because there is content there that relates to every possible part of the world. Most of them I don't care about today, but in a year when I plan to go to an area - THEN I will care. The search function sort of helps, but doesn't have the same usefulness as the forum model like TripAdvisor. The popular votes for a PARTICULAR Travel sub-topic area would be helpful for this.

I do feel that Steemit has a steep learning curve. Especially for me as I’m not the most tech savvy person. The crypto currency hurdle feels like he biggest one for me at the moment. Yet the flip side is that I feel I can learn a LOT here on Steemit.
So by reading post by post. day by day. I’m trying to piece the Steemit puzzle together. This one was a little motivational puzzle piece for me. So thank you.
