Great Darsico, have you also tried to sell your votes to whitelisted members?

tell me more about whitelisted members? How to become one. The way the vote-bots are paying out i'm thanking my lucky stars i have a vote:)))

Go there and then register to sell your votes, in the same page there is a whitelist button, under the "smartsteem" tab;

There you can apply for the Whitelist condition.

P.S.: I also want one of your self-vote worth 1.43 ;-)

i'm a systems analyst, hey why does your @smartsteem take so long to vote after it's full?? everybody else does it in 2min or less and i've waited 30 minutes to see a regular payout is that your quality control? just gathering useless info you know :)

So can you tell me how does buying upvotes help the post other then make money for the person that posted the content.. but how does it help the steemit platform.. I do not get it..

By empowering the individual to promote his/her own content instead of purely relying on other people - which is where there is currently a flaw in the system as there is too much content produced for humans to curate.

I'm a user of smartsteem but currently just a small amount for an initial boost.

You are right though, there is a flaw in the system and it is the bots. Some whales giving SP and money to BOT's rather than upvoting people.
Lead by example?

Sure, it's great if you're a whale and it's 'human nature', but it's going to wreck this place.

It's meant to be about human connection and genuine support, not the AI counterpart. It's pretty disappointing when the penny drops.

Whales come here for profit, that is how they become Whales in the beggining. There are some investors supporting quality material and not only delegating to bots.

Still, you and all other minnows can upvote quality content as they see fit. One thing does not necessarily excludes the other.

Well, that first sentence is slightly flawed but I get what you are trying to say.

Myself and everyone on the platform can upvote quality content as we see fit.

Well of course. But that isn't what I was saying... You know fine well that there is a serious problem with how people behave on the platform. Bad patterns and beliefs are developed early on here because of a lack of guidance in the early stages of the platform.
If more people could find help and information before they get sucked into a vote for votes and voting bots, the whole place would be a lot better off.

Its not necessarily the whales. They will make whatever they can, I can't judge that, it's their choice. They will continue to do it if they can.

The problem is what people value, monetary gains over genuine interest.

Yap, sorry should've written Whales became whales by just caring at profits (all before joining Steem).

Check our next post on the SmartSteem acc. and tell us there what you think. I believe we have a similar view on the matter actually.

They've become whales because they've bought and held onto it. The majority getting the platform off the ground for us all.

I don't think the same view is shared otherwise you guys would educate people more about when it's right and wrong (ethically and for the good of the platform) to buy votes.

Voting bots are not going to go away, and when people with some serious cash start flocking to this site, I don't think it's going to last.

Which is a real shame.

You guys talk about spam and writing great content which is good but it would be much better if you used a pop-up warning box, right here:
