Exactly, nobody is questioning why these SMT will have any value. Good ICOs offer a token that will have future utility eg. purchasing storage (siacoin) or computer processing power (golem) or advertising (BAT). This utility combined with scarcity give the tokens value. Is the idea that media companies with their own SMTs would allow you to purchase subscriptions or something with the SMTs that you earn??? That seems like a pretty niche market. SMTs have to be something that rational people will spend real money on otherwise the whole idea is going to fail. So far nobody has explained why these SMTs would be worth anything.
