Dear @louis88
My good friend @juanmolina shared link to your post with me today. Definetly worth reading.
I've already noticed that some youtubers are sharing their work on steem blockchain. And I found it kind of irritating. They do not care about engaging with their audience and are trying to promote their content by posting in random communities.
I figured that I will keep muting those who post within project.hope hive and on top of that I will be opening their youtube to click "dislike" and drop some negative comment.
That are 5 Steem Accounts, where it is confirmed that the accounts do not belong to the original author of the content.
It didn't hit me, that perhaps those users are not related to owners. However I found it hard to believe and most of the time I think youtubers are trying to use our resources (popular hives) to promote their videos.
Have a pleasant monday,
Yours, Piotr
Hi there.
To make one thing clear - the original authors on Youtube are not at fault and should not be disadvantaged by this. The problem is the fake-steem users who illegally publish the content of the original authors and pretend to be the original author with their accounts.
On the other hand you should rather try to make the original authors on Youtube aware of the advantages of Steem / Communities, so that they can also publish their content here and build a community.
Dear @louis88
Thank you for your prompt reply. However what to do if someone who is running youtube channnel decide to create account on steem and is promoting his own youtube videos within our hive? Without even trying to engage with anyone, without replying to comments. This is also quite common problem.
It's surely not easy to tell who is just "dumping ads" of his channel, hoping to get some traffic. And who is trying to make some extra $$$ (worth nothing). Both parties surely are annoying.
I'm sure you've came across at least few youtubers. Their mindset is different. They hardly care about engaging with audience and creating discussions. I'm not sure if any youtuber can do well on steem.
Yours, Piotr
