Yes, I've been grimacing a bit at the charges through the whole process from steem to euro's. But it's coming together right? One day it'll ll just be there and we'll smile because we helped it come true.

You should use an exchange and transfer the money to your bank account, if you want to get most out of your STEEM.
Ordinarily, I would agree, but our traveling lifestyle has us now living in Portugal with a UK bank account. The girlfriend has an American one. Currency charges and bank charges are significantly worse than what we will pay on wirex. Especially the American one.
