You are right, it's a mindset that can be hard to overcome even when logic and rationality says VP is not that important it still feels nice to have a valuable vote.

But it really does feel nice to throw around votes like confetti too. I personally believe I have more impact and a wider sphere of influence this way. You really should try it. Go nuts one Friday when you have a busy weekend and take a couple days off to recharge.
