RE: Why Isn't Your Steemit Following And Earnings Growing?

in #steem7 years ago

He cracks me up and I applaud him. It is very well played. Also notice that when he is in his leased house that there are always people standing around listening to him talk. It caused people to subconsciously believe that what he is saying is more important and that people are always listening when he talks. People have a herd mentality so when they see others doing a certain thing they follow. It is oftentimes more effective that way than when he talks to the camera by himself.

Another thing I have noticed is that these guys who have cookie cutter mental masterbation advice can gain a far bigger following then someone who gives real advice like us. The reason is because when it comes down to actually taking action and getting on Amazon or eBay or getting on Steemit and posting....... well that is too hard. That would require work. But if someone like Tai has several nice leased cars and a leased house and talks about how you can make money in real estate and how there are 69 steps to becoming rich people just eat it up.

I have no ill will towards Tai Lopez. He recognized these things and played the game very well.

To give my honest opinion, I think Tai Lopez says some nice things. I've listened to him speak for about 4-5 hours total in my life now and while he is frankly, a bit long-winded, I don't think he's been a waste of my time.

What do you think of him?

Is is very engaging. He knows how to phrase things and he has played the game very well. I don't feel that he provides much value though. A few pick me ups and anecdotal speeches. Primarily mental masturbation for the masses. I love how he gives away cars. That was brilliant. I don't look at what he says I more look at what he does and how that effects his following.

Out of the mental masturbation guys I would say I like Gary V the best. His stuff seems slightly more applicable but a person isn't going to listen to Gary V all day and be able to do anything real world with it to make money.

The fact is you can get way bigger just spewing out cookie cutter advice and little positive messages than actually directly telling someone how to make money. People don't actually want to put in the time to actually do something. Why would someone want to run a tape gun after selling stuff online.....that is too hard. They would rather just sit there and tell themself that they will be rich an jack off to Tai Lopez's leased cars.

I don't have anything against Tai. He played the game extremely well.

Yeah you hit got him pegged. I do think he's a smart guy and he's got some interesting stuff to say but like you said his real skill is understanding the masses. I think if money is the ultimate goal you can make a lot more and be a lot more successful appealing to the "mental masturbation" crowd who you probalby know will never do anything with the info your telling them, much more so than providing concrete practical action steps to the crowd who will actually follow through. i notice recently on his prerolls it says something at hte bottom of the video to the effect of the cars and houses in this video are leased. wonder if he had a lawsuit or something. a buddy of mine recently picked up his social media course and while i personally probably wouldn't drop a grand on it my buddy who i think pretty highly of was surprisingly pretty impressed with it and has been balls to the wall with click funnels ever since. i think tai is tied in with those click funnel cats as well

Yeah it is pretty interesting for sure.
