this is partly due to traffic diversification to many tribes
bad in the short run. long run? depends on how those tribe make their own values. but for many tribes, i'm skeptical to be honest. mostly they have less than one FTE dev.

The problem is Tribes are just a copy of Steemit.com and it really any new innovation. Having Steemit.com being successful is important and the public uses it to define the health and performance of the Steem network from an investment perspective, that perspective can change as other sites come to the fore. Steempeak is a good contender, imo tribes should have been modelled after Steempeak.
