Swimming With a New Pod

It feels like a long year and a half here so far. I popped onto the platform when Steem was around $3.20. I bought some then and remember how excited I was when I got to 500 SP and hit that snazzy slider bar. I kept writing, commenting, networking and I got another chubby when my vote was worth a pretty penny. I looked at all the whales, orcas, and dolphins, and wished that I could have an effect like them here. So I kept at it.

I bought some when it went below $3...then more at $2.50, and all the way down to where we are right now. To me the upside of this place is too great to just let this opportunity pass me by. I’d never forgive myself for just sitting on the sidelines while this platform grew and shit really started happening. There’s too much good work being done right now and I feel it’s just the beginning of so much. Maybe it’s the blind Steem cheerleader in me but I truly feel that way.

So I chucked in the last few grand to get me above the 50k SP level to become a full fledged Orca. I’m probably done for the year now in the buying department. Unless I have a killer few months in sales, I think I’m just going to focus on my writing so all 6 people who check me out regularly can be entertained with me talking nerd shit. More importantly, I want to make an impact curating good content...especially in the nerdy world I live in daily. I feel as though lots of it goes unnoticed here by the masses and I want to really help give those folks a reason to stay as so many others just pass that content by on the regular.

Anyway, thank you to those who have given constant support and advice to me here. You are an inspiration for this place and I hope to have the same effect on some other up and coming dipshit, as you have had on me.
