RE: You know what Steem needs to survive?? NEW WITNESSES!!!

in #steem6 years ago (edited)

What has @lukestokes done to support Steem in the past 6 months?

Sort:

He's full time eos.

Not exactly. I currently do consulting, work with eosDAC to build DAC Enabling technology, and help with the Dapix team to launch FIO. I'm still here and active, though I have been traveling lately. Bernie has a special place in his heart for me, which is why I got singled out a bit. :)

Dude is literally not here, but somehow made it to number 2?

promoting eos on twitter :)

I promote all kinds of projects on Twitter which I think can provide value to the world, including Steem (while many others gave up on Steem a long time ago). I have been traveling lately though, but I'm still here.

I'm still around. :) I've just been traveling.

To EOS?

I did go to the Block One June 1st event and the Tulip Conference as well as speaking at the EOS BP Summit. I had a good conversation with @transisto in D.C. and some other Steem people as well. This past week I was doing some consulting for a different project.

Working with other projects to help strengthen all projects is not a weakness, IMO.

I flag trash (and morons). You have received a flag.

A lot of the top 20 witnesses still seem to be voting for him nevertheless.

I've been traveling for the last few weeks, but I'm still here.

Nothing. Does not participate in steemit slack.

That's true, I have not contributed to the Slack conversations much lately. I used to be actively involved along with everyone throwing around opinions, but at the end of the day I wasn't seeing much resulting value as it was mostly just opinion without much action. Traveling the last few weeks hasn't helped either. I'm pretty much always available and responsive when actual decisions need to be made, and I respond quickly.

I asked kind of same question from him and he replied:

I joined the eosDAC team. I can't answer for Steem Power holders as to why they vote for me (that's up to them to answer).

He did said to came up with Idea of Steem as a DAC but we can all see his affiliation with EosDac more.

I still feel this way. It's up to Steem Power holders to decide who they trust to run the chain. As I explain here, IMO my involvement in other projects helps me bring important context and perspective here.

Long time delegator of @SteemFlagRewards which helps us reward flaggers.

I think I saw this dude get drunk on hot or shots once. I don't think he ever spoke to me though, so .. meh. Kinda cool kinda not cool.

I did indeed get alcohol poisoning because I had been fasting for three days before doing the show. That was a really bad idea, but I learned from it. I was fine all through the show and the after show as well, but then eventually my body was like "Nope!" and I paid the price.

I think I remember your I'm So Hungover post shortly after that as well... LOL! Live and learn, man.

Hah! Yep, here it is on my random account.

I won't even go near a device with any form of social media if I'm having a few drinks. I'm not sure if you've ever seen my blog and some of the nutty things I've done. That's all sober. The times where I did drink, I straight up said I've been drinking. One story I wrote made people cry. It was a good story but I don't want people crying after leaving my blog...
