Tags. That's why we have tags. There's a difference between using the site and having a desire to join the site. Many people might use it for years before they decide to join, and even then it's predicated by why they join, was it because of some members only area, did they want to leave a comment, etc.. To get people interested in powering up they must see good content, not shit, that is rewarded, not overpriced (which makes it shit regardless of how "quality" / "gold" it is) and to get to that point no amount of "look at all these other items" will change that. I really mean that, you think that your suggestions will do that or are comparable to what the EIP proposal? What is it about your suggestions that would achieve on-boarding of users, because we already have tags, which are extremely visible and accessible and intuitive, and I don't understand how you expect authors to "row" with the ads as if that's why people will power up, when the authors are shamelessly shilling the advertisers..

We do have tags - but Steemit could do a better job of driving people deeper into the site.
On this we agree.
I simply believe:
Note my suggestions are focused on the content - not shifting the chairs around on the titanic by tweaking reward percentages or free downvotes.
