Dead followers? Does it really count because there are dead followers everywhere even Beyonce and her likes have dead followers on instagram, twitter and facebook. I think that feature of the app is for fun or something likely, it's a nice concept however.

It might count if someone wants to clean up their followers so that they can have an accurate idea of their following. But, one should be careful when going through deleting "dead" followers because some of those could be dolphins and whales following you that do not post much. And perhaps they are interested in your content.
I don't think we can remove any following we have. You can mute your follower, but you cannot undo his/her following you. I think.
It seems a forever together thing lol
