Does sound like head-gasket troubles. Look for white custard like substance in your radiator tank and if you can access any of the water pipes, then you can check to see if they are pressurising. Just run the engine for 10/15mins and give rubber water hoses a squeeze. If they feel like a balloon then that means air that is squeezed by the pistons, is being transferred through to the water system that surrounds the pistons. You lose air, you loose power. BTW WEAR GLOVES BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE PIPES!! ;)
