This is a silly example in so many ways that I don't even want to discuss it. This is not war, soldier! This is providing a service.

a service we didn't ask for or need that is taking nearly 7% of the rewards pool

You might not have asked for it but you are not an official representative of the steemit community, or am I wrong? I joined steemit for Haejin and if you think about it Haejin has actually brought new members to the site - I know that other people joined for the same reason. And are you trying to tell me whom to vote for? I choose to vote for Haejin as he deserved my up votes. If you find it unfair that someone is so good that he gets nearly 7% of the rewards pool than look for a reason why you (or me, or someone else) is not getting it. And finally - if you find the up voting system unfair then why don't you tell the developers of steem it about it- how they need to fix a problem etc instead of blaming someone who does not seem to break any rules. If he is violating any rule - just prove it. This thing right here is just jealousy masked under the shape of some sort of ''it is not fair for the community''.

"official representative of the steemit community"

There are none. There is only the members of the community themselves, and they seem to be overwhelmingly against it.

"instead of blaming someone who does not seem to break any rules"

We are not breaking rules either, case closed. Fuck off lmao

Since we both agree that neither we, nor Haejin are breaking any rules stop whining like a little bitch! OK!?

I think that is the only reply I need.

Finally satisfied then?

If Steemit were to be constrained to services that are asked for or needed and the rest was simple wiped away then what percentage of the content do you think would remain?

Hint: A lot less than 7%...

if its not wanted or needed it shouldn't be voted. This is obviously self-voting for profit.

Then perhaps individuals should be concerning themselves a lot more with the way that newbie delegated Steem works, than hounding a person who seems to have the support of some who have taken his advice.

Just because@haejin makes for a softer and more 'squishy' target than Steemit does not justify him being made an example of. And this presumes that he has done anything wrong.

I dislike self-upvoting as a practice but when I see a post written like this, I have to give it a hard look.
